Author We were going to try and hold a ride on the Saturday following Christmas, but the weather is not looking promising, so we’re cancelling the ride. See you on the trail another day!
We’ll meet at Highland Park trailhead and head north to trim branches and relocate a lost-but-now-is-found picnic table to the Leaning Sycamore Tree.

We’ll be participating in the Grand Opening of the new trailhead, created by the town of Lucas, on E. Winningkoff, under the water tower. After an opening ceremony, and dutch oven breakfast, we’ll ride out north on Welborn Ln to our new horse gate.
When – 8am, Saturday October 28, 2017
Where – East Winningkoff Trailhead (under the water tower)
What to bring – Coggins for your horse, chair for you during breakfast.
Directions
745 East Winningkoff Road
From East Lucas Rd, you can turn north on Winningkoff or Snider Lane. Both have tight turns so drive carefully. At the Winningkoff/Snider Lane intersections, continue north on Winningkoff, to the intersection with East Winninkoff and Orr Rd. Turn right on East Winningkoff and proceed east to the trailhead (it will be on your left).
We’ll ride south from Brockdale, enjoying the trail and the company of friends under the moonlight.

We’ll go south to Collin Park from Brockdale, trimming encroaching branches

We’ll head north from East Fork to inspect the trail and attend to any fallen limbs or overgrowth.
When – 9am, Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017
Where – East Fork trailhead
What to bring – gloves, long sleeves, loppers, water
We’ll make a quick run south from Brockdale to clean up the vandalism at the picnic table, and then inspect the Inspiration boundary fence at the watering hole. Should be done in about an hour.
When – 9am, Saturday, Aug 12, 2017

What to bring – Gloves, water
Nothing serious awaits us, so let’s take a break and avoid the heat and/or rain! Stay tuned for September’s workday!
Between the heat, humidity, and rain forecast, we’re cancelling the ride originally scheduled for Saturday, June 24.
