We’ll be having our second Moonlight ride of 2013! This time, in addition to the ride, we’ll also be having a first-aid clinic (for humans) presented by the Lucas VFD beforehand, with special attention to hot-weather maladies.

DATE: Saturday, August 17, 2013
TIME: Lucas VFD presentation at 730pm, rideout at or after sunset (815pm?)
LOCATION: Brockdale Park Trailhead

Remember to bring your current Coggins test results for each horse and a chair to sit on! And flashlights? and Bug Spray!!! and questions for the VFD! It may be warm, but we’ll see you there!

We’ll be trimming bushes and branches off the pipe fence and clearing some of the dead limbs and trees from the picnic area. All this to get the trailhead ready for the September NPLD workday.

Our TTPA workday is timed to coincide with the National Public Lands Day workday, on September 28. We have 3 projects, repainting the pipe rails and picnic tables at each of the three trailheads. Afterwards, we’ll be having a cookout lunch at Brockdale Trailhead, followed by demonstrations by the Lucas VFD and the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. We still need TTPA volunteers to lead each of the workparties at each of the trailheads.

When – 9am-11am at each trailhead, followed at 12noon at Brockdale for lunch and demonstrations
