We’ll be hardening the two sets of newly installed culverts north of Brockdale Park with 60lb sacks of concrete. We’ll need lots of volunteers (all of whose hours will count towards our TPW grant). We’ll need one set of volunteers to unload the concrete bags onto our fleet of UTV’s. Another set of volunteers to unload the UTV’s beside the creeks. And a third set of volunteers to stack the bags to harden the culverts, up- and down-stream. Gloves are needed, and if you’re stacking bags in the creek, you’ll need high boots. We’re talking a lot of bags (100+), so it won’t be easy, but it will be worthwhile.

We’ll also need UTV’s (aka side-by-sides or Gators) to deliver the concrete to creekside, so if you have one that we can use, contact Duke at 214-422-2929.

When – 7am, Saturday, August 23, 2025
Where – meet at the Churchill’s, 1125 Brockdale Park Rd
What to bring – lunch, bug spray, gloves, water (lots), wading boots (if you’ll be in the creek).
